How are online balances for credit cards determined?
I have one credit card online balance in Quicken that is different from the credit card statement. This card statement has a zero balance; the card is paid down to a zero balance in the credit card statement. However, the online balance in Quicken is -1170.23. I assume Quicken is not using a calculation to arrive at the online balance. True?
I have two other cards with a zero balance and Quicken is reporting a zero online balance. What is happening with the one card?

Hello @QwikOne,
Thank you for sharing your experience and for posing this question.
The Online Balance comes directly from the bank the account is connected to. It is what the financial institution reports your balance to be since the last time you updated the account.
To verify the balance, log in to your bank's website and compare it to what the balance shows there.
Here is a Help Article that explains the three balances in a Quicken register.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Hope this helps!
