Cash Management Account with Fidelity QPIQQ Errors

Using Quicken Classic Deluxe Version 8.5.2. My cash management account is accounting payments and income incorrectly. If I send $100 to pay a bill, it deducts that $100 from the total, and then immediately adds a second register item as a "Sell" of QPIQQ for $100, adding back into the total the same amount it had just correctly deducted. I fix this by deleting the "sell" entry from the register. But, I shouldn't have to do that. This is a new, recent issue, which started around the same time that the double counting of FDRXX was fixed in my other accounts.

I've attached a partial screen shot of my register with the most recent incident, where I sent $1002 to my son. You can see the double entry for the same amount. Can you fix this?

    Hello @mverzola,

Thank you for reaching out! To clarify, should QPIQQ be tracked as cash or as a security? Based on your screenshot, it looks like it's being tracked as a security, recording the sell first to add cash to the account, then a second transaction to show the cash being sent out of the account.

I look forward to your response!

It should be a cash transaction…actually, it should not even be a downloaded entry….it never was listed in the past, unless there was interest (similar the two other cash accounts included in the screenshot just a few lines above). All three of them received interest and my cash balance correctly added that interest to my total cash balance. However a transaction should not show when I pay a bill. The amount of the bill is correctly deducted from my cash balance. But, because it shows the same amount "sold" from QPIQQ, the cash from QPIQQ increases my cash balance by the same amount that paying the bill deducted. Thus the cash balance does not change in total. To keep my cash total correct, I have to delete the QPIQQ entry every time I make a transaction.
