AstraZeneca PLC ADR (AZN) Pricing Question

Quicken Classic Premier Version 8.5.2 (Build 805.60133.100)

macOS 15.7.4

I'm not sure when this problem started - I fell behind on reconciling my investment accounts and just started working on November 2025 when I ran into price differences between my brokerage (RBC Wealth Management) and Quicken.

I noticed that the pricing history in Quicken for AZN doesn't make sense.  For example, closing prices on Fridays appear to be about double the trading prices during the rest of the week.  This history also doesn't appear to match the recent security overview from Quickens website.  See screen grabs.  Does anyone know the cause of this behavior and how to deal with it in Quicken; or how to troubleshoot this?

AstraZeneca withdrew its NASDAQ listing of its ADR shares (trading under AZN) and did some sort of trade to its NYSE shares (also trading under AZN).  I think that Quicken co-mingled and backfilled some of the missing price history for AZN.

Quicken determines market prices using the ticker symbol, not the CUSIP. The CUSIP is mainly an internal identifier used by financial institutions for trade processing and security matching, but it is not used for price history downloads or market quote updates in Quicken.

In Quicken for Mac, price updates come from the online quote service and are matched based on the security’s ticker symbol and its linked online security definition. As long as the security is correctly mapped to the proper ticker (AZN), Quicken will pull the corresponding price data from the provider.

If there is a pricing discrepancy, it is usually related to:

* An incorrect or mismatched ticker symbol
* A duplicate security in the file
* Or the security not being properly linked to the online security database.

Thanks for following up.

I've haven't had time to verify if the transaction history for AZN and my holdings are correct or not. I am currently out-of-town and should be able to check on that in June.

As far as price history, how does Quicken determine the proper price history to download?  Does it use the ticker symbol or the CUISP?  Can you confirm the CUISP that Quicken is currently using for downloading AZN prices:

My FA said that NYSE AZN (ordinary shares) uses CUSIP G0593M107; while the legacy ADR AZN used CUSIP 046353108 (no longer active).
