Return Capability to Update Allotments to Investment Account After Pasting Previous Paycheck

I have Quicken set up so that every two weeks, it automatically enters in my new paycheck transaction. From my pay, I have a pre-tax allotment taken out for a contribution to my TSP investment account (along with an employer match). Quicken automatically records these allotments as separate Xin transactions to my investment account. It's here that I would edit the investment account transactions by changing them from 'Cash Transferred into Account' to 'Buy - Shares Bought'. I would enter the security name, shares purchased, purchase price, investment amount, and I would check the option for my checking account as the 'cash used for this transaction'. That's worked perfectly since 2011, but in Feb 2025, I started receiving the following message . . . "This transaction was created from a split transaction. In order to change it, you must go to the source transaction by using 'Go to matching transfer' from the Edit button." This is ridiculous since there's nothing needing to be changed from my paycheck transaction. All the allotments and deductions are perfectly fine. After several calls to Quicken, I was finally told that apparently Quicken did away with this capability, for reasons I can't imagine. Can some Quicken developer or programmer quickly bring back this much needed and very valuable functionality?
