Can't complete update from Q Mac Version 8.5.2 to 9.0
I was checking for updates and informed that Version 9.0 was available. I selected install and update and then backup. When the process stopped it told me the same thing all over again. I went thru the same steps and when it finished got the same message that an update was available. It appears that the update never finished.

@Geo H This happens to people from time to time because some preference setting gets stuck in a wrong state. The way around it is to find the Quicken.app in your Applications folder and drag it to the Trash; then log into your account at Quicken.com to download a new copy of Quicken Mac (or directly from here), double-click on the installer, and it should complete the installation successfully.

Not to derail the thread as I had no issue updating, but also found nothing new in 9.0 I could not live without and unfortunately did not fond things I think badly need updating and have been promised for near a year now.
At least it appears nothing new has broken.0 -

@Bob. I think that could be written about every single update to Quicken Mac over the past 10 years! 🤣 We Quicken Mac users collectively want a lot of features and fixes, and we all utilize Quicken differently enough that there is no unanimity about which changes are/should be most important. So every release contains some bug fixes and some new features which please some users and disappoint others. I might say I don't need/won't use charts in the investment reports, and someone else will say they've been waiting for charts for a decade.
I do agree that the list of "Planned" features, many of which are large projects, that remain untouched over passing time is frustrating. But in the same breath, I'd note that adding investment reports was a top tier user request for many years, and in the past two releases, the development team has finally begun delivering that functionality. So things are getting accomplished — just not fast enough and broadly enough to satisfy us all. Thus it has always been, and this it will likely will always be due to the mismatch between the small size of the Quicken Mac development team and the large size of the feature wishlist. 🤣

Was able to successfully update to 9.0. Don't know if this matters but I shut off my VPN before choosing to Update & Install. Went smoothly, as it normally always does. Thanks for the suggestions. I appreciate your time.

Well, a nicely worded spin on why things may and may not get done. And some I cannot disagree with.
I still challenge anyone to show me how I am supposed to be alerted an new eBill has arrived? There is no bullet, no bold, no color change. I have to search for it in my eBill list. And I challenge anyone to tell me why this is not a dramatic oversight. Seems to me to be a core feature that is continued to be overlooked.
I will grant they eBill in MAC are MUCH more consistent than Windows and come in timely rather than 2 or 3 days later. But my g_d, it is not rocket science or pages of code to bold that which is new.
