Whenever I enter a TAG in a transaction, each subsequent transaction keeps that TAG. This often goes unnoticed until I either catch it on the register, or run a report by TAG.

Does "each subsequent transaction keeps that TAG" refer to any new transaction or does it refer only to new transactions of the same Payee Name? A few examples might be helpful.
What version, edition level (Starter, Deluxe, etc.) and release (R xx.xx) of Quicken are you using? US, Canadian or other country version? Is your subscription expired or still active? Click Help / About Quicken (Mac: Quicken / About Quicken) for this information.
