CC-503 error when tying to set up download from HealthEquity
For over two weeks now I've been unable to download transactions from my Health Equity account. I'm told that the institution says my login credentials don't match. However, I'm able to login Heath Equity's website with the same credentials.
I've disconnected the account and tried to reestablish the connection, but I'm getting the "Oops. Did you mistype your login?" CC-503 error.
I'm running Quicken Classic Deluxe Version R67.7, Build 27.1.67.7 on Windows 10.
Thanks in advance.

The download from HealthEquity (one word in Q) is via Express Web Connect.
AFAIK, Express Web Connect - connected accounts cannot use these characters in passwords: & < > \ or /
These characters have special meaning when used inside HTML code which is how EWC connects.
SO, typing them in directly to a website works, but not when connecting from within Q.
SO, if you're using any of those, change them out for ones that are allowed.

Thanks NotACPA.
Unfortunately, I'm not using any of those characters mentioned in my password.

@RazorbackRick, HMMM. Have you double-checked capitalization? Passwords are case-sensitive.
Are there other special characters? Which? Perhaps I missed one (or more).
Only other thing I can think of is to contact Q Support, via the link at the top of this page.
And, BTW, I'm a Dore.

Doing a bit more research, it seems that " and ' might be prohibited also.

Hello @RazorbackRick,
Thank you for reporting the issues you are running into.
The CC-503 Error occurs when your financial institution tells Quicken that your login credentials are incorrect.
Step One: Verify your bank login information
- Type your password/PIN into a text application, such as Notepad, WordPad, or another text/word application.
- Note: This is a way of confirming you don't have typographical errors in this field.
- Highlight the "confirmed" password and then copy it (Ctrl + C) and paste it (Ctrl + V) into the appropriate fields in Quicken.
Step Two: Verify your bank login at the bank's website
- Go to your bank's website and confirm that you're able to log in with the expected username and password.
- Once you are logged in, review your account at the website for notifications (such as pending messages in a mailbox or message center) to confirm if further action is required to grant Quicken access.
- Some banks will require a separate login, password, or both to access accounts on third-party software. Also note, you may need to go to your settings at the website to access these prompts for new credentials.
New passwords: If you are required to make a new password, be aware that some special characters may cause errors in Quicken. These special characters are the ampersand (&), left carat (<), right carat (>), backslash (\), and forward slash (/). Additionally, while Quicken does not have a character limit, your bank may have one.
Please open the support article linked above and go through the rest of the steps therein.
If the steps above don't resolve the issue
Please reach out to Quicken Support.
Hope this helps!
