Is there a utility to auto 'clean up' the plethora of daily quotes in my quotes file?

    No, there is not a cleanup utility.

    If there are securities you don't own and you want to stop quote downloads for them, you should go to Tools > Security List and un-check the Watch List box. If you have never owned the security, you can delete it and I thnk that will also delete the price history. I would not count on that making your file smaller though.

    Nope, deleting the security does not delete the price history associated with the security.
