Why does this ETF update it's price?

So here is my situation:

  1. I bought ETF 'XYZ' last week, for the first time.
  2. Since then, whenever I do something to another ETF or mutual fund that updates its price (like purchasing more of ETF 'ABC'), the price for 'XYZ' gets updated!
  3. No other security I own does this - just the new one, 'XYZ'. Everything else updates only when I do One Step Update/Download quotes.

I know there is a setting somewhere that causes this, but I can't find it. Can you help? Thanks!

Does XYZ get updated to the same price as ABC, or to its current price?

Do you hold ABC and XYZ at the same brokerage?

Hi @Jim_Harman thanks for the reply. It was the actual price for XYZ at the moment. Actually, the one I made a small transaction on today was a T Rowe Price Brokerage ETF, and the new one that keeps updating price, XYZ, was from Schwab. That'a the only ETF I have with Schwab, I have 4-5 with T Rowe Price brokerage, and that is it. I am pretty sure I have made other transactions, like maybe an exchange from one T Rowe mutual fund to another, and XYZ price will be updated there too. I thought it may have been a setting on Tools/Security List, but I don't see anything different for its entry unless I am missing it.

So you entered a Buy transaction in a T Rowe Price account in Quicken, did not do any OSU, Update Now, or update quotes, and now the price of XYZ, which you hold only at Schwab, has been updated to its current price?

    That is mysterious.

Are you sure the setting at Edit > Preferences > Automatically update quotes every 15 minutes is not selected?

All exactly correct. And Ihave about 35 different funds/stocks/etfs, XYZ is the only one that updates! And that setting is off - every 15 minutes.

Do you think I should do something like delete that fund and read it? I wouldn't want to lose any history, albeit it's small.

Or maybe a Super Validate or Validate file?
