Forced to Reauthorize Discover Card Every Session
I have followed the instructions posted most recently (February 2026) from Discover help to deactivate all Discover cards, revoke third-party authorization at Discover and then reset up everything, but this is still happening! Actually, I have performed this process three times and nonetheless, I get the message every session.
Is there an ultimate fix? If not, I will not be renewing Quicken as this is a PITA. Thank you!

Based on the letter I got today, it will at least resolve it self in a few months when Capital One (new owner of Discover) will be transitioning the cards to a CapOne branded card.

Actually, I was also having difficulty with memorized payees not populating properly, and found there is a Quicken update to be applied manually. After I applied this, Discover started working normally. Not sure if that's what the update for was (as it didn't say), but for now it is resolved.
