Bank of America Reauthorization Issues

Went to do a daily update and was told I had to reauthorize Bank of America. I did so. Even got an email from BOFA saying I did so. However, doing so seems to have created another BOFA account on Quicken with a different balance. The one that is accurate also shows everything posted for the past month as new when. AND, now each time I try to update I get a message saying I have to reauthorize BOFA!

I would restore a backup from before this happened. Then run OSU. You may have to reauthorize other accounts. When you get to the "Add Account" dialog, make sure the action is "link to existing account" and select the proper account. Repeat as needed for any others.

Sometimes when I have to reauthorize, this dialog defaults to "Add to Quicken". That results in a new account. Also BofA had some issues yesterday that wouldn't connect properly. It's possible that issue may have triggered the reauth.

What happens when you try to reauthorize your Bank of America accounts?
What process are you following (click the reauthorize button, reset accounts, deactivate/reconnect, etc.)
At what point in the process are you encountering an issue?
Are you seeing any error messages/codes?

I was asked to reauthorize two weeks ago.
Now I am asked to reauthorize again.

I expect that deactivate/connect will get me going again.

[result:
activated and it said download transactions for last five days but no transactions.
update again and it still reports need to reauthorize even if account say linked.
authorize again and I get my transactions. ]

I expect that next week I will need to reauthorize again.

To help troubleshoot, I checked our internal tools. I can see the most recent reauthorize prompt was because your accounts were connected to zzz-Bank of America-All Other States. Since that connection is being retired, it was necessary to reauthorize so that you would be connected to an active connection.

If that was the reason for the most recent reauthorization prompt, then you shouldn't see any more prompts in the near future for Bank of America (you may still need to periodically reauthorize with them roughly ever 180 days).

If you do get another reauthorization prompt, please let me know!
