Problem with Schwab Retirement Plan Services download

Used to download qxf files and import. Now Schwab had disabled this figure and must direct connect. I have two different plans or accounts at Schwab with various different funds in each. The same issue happens with I try to connect my existing Quicken Accounts or simply try to create new Quicken Account. Only one Schwab account downloads. It correctly downloads the two mutual funds that are in that account, but the share totals reflect the total shares of those mutual funds found in both accounts. Nothing is downloaded for the second Schwab account - none of the other funds or the balances.

As far as I know, Schwab discontinued the ability to download information into Quicken using the Direct Connect protocol a few years ago and instead went with Express Web Connect+, a different downloading protocol. Maybe you're not using the term "direct connect" in that sense here?

When you log into Schwab via your web browser do you see two distinctly different Schwab Accounts with each Account displaying its own security holdings? (From what you say here it sounds like one of the funds in the non-connecting Schwab account has been moved over to the account that is connecting.)

When you look at each Quicken Account's "Account Details" and click on the "Online Services" tab do both Accounts show as properly set up for downloading using Express Web Connect+? Have you tried clicking on the "Reset" button to see if that clears things up?

One thing you might try, after making a backup, is to disconnect both Quicken Accounts from downloading. When you do that you gain access to the "Financial institution" and "Account Number" fields and erase the information in those boxes.

Go to Schwab via your web browser and disallow "third party" sharing of information.

Then start the Add Account process, specifying Schwab as the financial institution, enter your user name and password for Schwab, and Quicken should find those two accounts at Schwab and present them to you. You carefully LINK, (not ADD) each account at Schwab to the correct Quicken Account
