One 4/19 and since then, my transactions are downloaded as "Uncategorized"

Question

When I went to download new transactions after 4/19, they appeared  as "Uncategorized." I have so many of them marked that way. How do I fix this? I have downloaded more to date and it still has not corrected itself. All other information, date, payee, etc. are correct. Please advise.

The checkbox was already selected. I investigated transactions marked "Uncategorized" by comparing them to the previous transaction from the same source. While some of the latest transactions showed new additional information added to the Payee field, an equal number showed no change to the Payee's name. Therefore, I am unsure what specifically caused these transactions to be flagged "Uncategorized."

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but …

Incorrectly downloaded transactions which now exist in your registers will not "automagically" correct themselves. You need to review and correct them, as needed.

Check Settings > Connected Services to see if the checkbox for "Automatically improve the quality of downloaded payee names and categories" is checked. If the box is not checked, that would explain your uncategorized transactions.
