I've long wanted to add a Memo column to the investment account register, however, I recognize that other users may have similar needs, but with other columns as they may want to hide or add columns that suit their personal needs.
There's already a Memo column in investment accounts.
And, it's already viewable in the account
SO, this idea is unneeded as what's requested already exists.
I think you've misread my post. What you're showing in your screenshot is the Memo field when entering/editing a transaction.
What I actually posted was about a COLUMN in the REGISTER, as mentioned in the post.
Didn't mis-read a thing. The memo field is already there … look at 2nd graphic and compare to 1st.
If your demanding that the display be changed to show Memo as a separate column, I'd vote against [Removed - Unhelpful]
Again, you're not following. I'm referring to a COLUMN in the register view. Not a field when editing a transaction whether it be inline on the register or opened in an edit dialog.
I'm following completely. [Removed - Unhelpful]
So, as I posted previously, these are the current columns.
I envision an additional COLUMN which provides the user ease of seeing the Memo for each transaction down the register.
So, by your logic, since all of the transaction information is available by clicking on each transaction separately, should they just remove all of these existing columns? If not, why keep them in the register view…by your logic?

If you use 2-line display in an investment register, Memo shows. It just isn't labeled as such. It is directly below the Security column.
Thank you, Rocket. [Removed - Disruptive]
I'm good with this idea and have up voted it. If it's implemented the developers should look to making it an optional column for users to add as needed.

Yes, I'm aware. Thank you.
I use a compact view. This is the reason for the desire for a Memo column.
