Synchrony serviced credit card transaction downloads

Isn't there supposed to be a better way of adding Synchrony Bank serviced credit cards for transaction downloads?

When trying to add it to Quicken online services, it asks for a Synchrony login. Do you really need to have a Synchrony account in order to add a retailer credit card, just to download transactions?

Has anyone had any luck?

To login to Synchrony Bank directly, you would need an account setup with them.

You don't state (which would have been very helpful) which store branded Synchrony card you have, but the Lowes (that I have) card by Synchrony has an entry in the fidir.txt file which lists all of the possible financial institutions.

Look in the list when setting up the account for OSU by the store's name and not Synchrony.
