Saving Transactions takes anywhere from 20 to 40 seconds

I have had this problem for a while now. Saving/editing/deleting any transaction can take anywhere from 20 to 40 seconds. I do have a lot of data, I am a long time quicken user since about 1999. File size 250M. Quicken Windows Version R67.10 Build 27.1.67.10

I have tried validate and supervalidate already.

@MR28 Let's try some debugging. The size of your data file is not the most important factor for Quicken's processing speed.

1. Are some accounts faster than others at recording transactions? Are the slow ones banking or investing accounts?
2. Please go to Tools > Account list to display your accounts. If the "# of transactions" column is not displayed, click on Options at the bottom and select it. How many transactions are in a fast account? How many in your slowest account?

I'll stop there for now. I have more questions depending on your answers.
