Selling Mutual Funds - how do I xfer that sell to a bank account?

Fairly new to Quicken for Mac; I used Quicken for Windows for decades.

Quicken for Windows Classic 9.0.3 - when I sell a mutual fund I have, I can enter the details, but the part missing is the transfer to a bank account, where that money is going.

Screenshot attached. In the Windows version, there would be a box for the money to go to a different account, which it does - to or from my bank. What am I missing here?

You can’t do that in a single transaction in Quicken Mac. You’ll have to use two transactions - one to sell the asset and one to transfer the cash to your bank account

That is kind of what I thought, but when I enter a sell transaction, Quicken does not update the cash balance for the account to reflect the sale. example attached, last column in my register is the cash balance, unchanged at zero.

Is this account set up for downloads from the brokerage, or are you entering everything manually. I see in your screenshot that your Buy transaction on 5/19 also doesn't budge the running balance from zero. This seems odd. And you're sure that the last column is actually the "Balance" column? When you switch to the Portfolio view, with the first filter set to Portfolio Value, as you change the As of Date to before and after each of these transactions, does the number of shares and Market Value change reflecting the purchase or sale of the shares?

It is set up to download from the brokerage, and it does, but still does not reflect the correct balance or the correct shares. I have tried to manually enter the transactions to fix things, but get the same results.

as of today this one account is a mess and does not reflect the actual portfolio at all. I have transactions back to 2017 so difficult to go back and rebuild the entire account. I have tried to manually enter and correct transactions but still does not fix the issue of the cash balance not being updated on a sell.

Worth noting that this Quicken Mac file was converted several months ago from Quicken for Windows and I had several accounts messed up and had to fix manually. No issues really other than duplicate transactions and transfers that were incorrect etc. I fixed all that stuff.

I am an experienced Quicken user been using Quicken since the DOS days. I just have no solution for how to fix this one account or why it is not reflecting the cash balance when things are sold.

I will probably try to open a new account, and disconnect this one from the Online updates and then see if I can get anywhere with the
