Make all 1 line XX registers like this

This used to work but not anymore. Also I've noticed that the posting date column has disappeared from many registers, checking, credit cards, etc. Also the amount column is added back. When I remove the Amount column and add the posting date column. I then select Make all 1 line XX registers like this. It says it changed them all but it DID NOT. I have to change some of them manually. Not sure when this occured but I suspect one of the recent updates…

The "Make all 1-line … registers like this" only applies to the exact same account type, e.g., Checking, of the register you're working with. Other account types need to be changed separately.

So, are you really sure that the accounts you're trying to change are all of the same account type? Examples please.

Did you make both changes at the same time (remove the Amount column & add the posting date column)?
Were the accounts that didn't update manual accounts, connected accounts, or both?

I have been noticing this issue over the last few weeks. What I noticed first was the posting date column was missing on some of my connected credit card accounts. I added the column back and did the "Make all 1 line credit card registers like this". Some of the credit card registers had the date posted column but some still didn't. I removed the amount column on some other credit card accounts, and got the same results, not all credit card accounts were updated with the amount removed column. Same issue on my checking account registers. I also changed both columns and did the same process, same result. At this point I can't tell if the "Make all 1 line XX registers like this" is working at all. It appears this problem is occuring for both connected and dis-connected accounts(previously connected). Manual accounts I'm not paying attention to. It is not consistent with all accounts. Some are fine while others have had the columns added/removed.

Thank you for confirming that all of the affected accounts are the same account type.

To help better understand and address your situation, I have a few additional questions:

Have you tried restoring a backup from a date before the issue started?
Where is your data file currently located? To check, open Quicken and select File. At the bottom of the menu, the file with the check mark next to it is the one currently open. Please let me know the full file path shown there.
Have you already validated the file to check for possible file corruption?

If you have not yet validated the file, please follow these steps:

Validate file

Go to File
Select Validate and Repair File
Choose Validate File
Click OK

I did file validation. It found some account issues and repaired them. However I still see the same issue. This is the message I received after I performed the "Make all 1-line registers like this"

This is the heading of the account that is setup the way I want all 1-line credit card registers to be, and the account I performed the "Make all 1-line registers like this" process from.

And this is one of the card accounts after the process.

No Posting date and the Amount field is present.

Is this issue affecting only your credit card accounts, or are you seeing the same behavior with other account types as well?
It's not clear from your previous response whether you've had an opportunity to restore a backup from before the issue began. If you have a backup available, would you be willing to test whether the issue occurs in that restored file as well?

As I stated in my May 30, post, "Same issue on my checking account registers". As you can see in my signature, "My data file is NOT being synced nor backed up". Since I'm not sure when this issue started I won't be restoring a backup.
