I'm using Quicken Classic Deluxe Mac OS 13.7.8 Version 9.0.3 (Build 900.60651.100) - yesterday when the duplicate transactions showed up, I also found some categories weren't available anymore in my register. Is anyone else having this problem?
Hi @Robin Howard,
Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the issue you’re experiencing.
To better understand what’s happening, could you please provide a bit more detail?
I look forward to your response.
Hi Laura, thanks for the response. The missing categories do correspond to the entries in my QuickFill Rule list and it's affecting all accounts. It started happening the same day the duplicates happened. For example, I have a budget category for Groceries, and it disappeared from the category list. Older transactions were still categorized correctly as "Groceries," but I couldn't choose it for new transactions.
I'm on day three of my accounts being wildly incorrect. The duplicates disappeared, but so did many other transactions across accounts. Some of my accounts are thousands of dollars off. For three days in a row, I've gone through accounts manually and filled in missing transactions to make everything balance, but the next day, a whole new set will be missing. I've seriously about had it. My accounts are off, so my budgets are off, so I'm making decisions based on guesswork. I started a trial of Monarch yesterday just to get a correct download of my accounts so I could function.
Thank you for sharing more details about what you experienced. I'm sorry to hear that your file was impacted by this issue.
At this time, your transactions and categories should no longer be affected. If you'd like to ensure your data is fully intact, you may restore a recent backup from before the issue began and then update your accounts again. However, if you prefer to continue using your current file, you should be able to make updates without affecting your existing information.
Here is how to restore a backup file:
