Apple Card and Quicken Classic connectivity

In 2024 Apple provided an API for financial software to connect to the Apple Card Mastercard credit card. Other financial software packages are using this API and apparently so is Quicken Simplifi web based app. So why hasn’t Quicken Classic for Mac /Windows taken advantage of this? Is the Quicken development team working on this and I if not why not. Is there a reason Quicken users still cannot download Apple Card transactions like every other credit card?

At this time, this is not an option in Quicken Classic, and as far as I can tell, it is not in the works either. It basically comes down to Financial Institution Data Access Support and architectural differences when it comes to Simplifi and Classic integration.

You can download and import your Apple Card transactions using the Web Connect method in Quicken Classic. If you are unable to find the option to download your transactions from the bank's website, you will need to reach out to them so they can provide it.

@lkrupp As you likely are aware, Apple has started transitioning Apple Card from being run by Goldman to JPMorgan Chase. It may be that Chase will offer new and improved connectivity for Quicken — but the transition is expected to span 2026 and 2027, so it may be quite a while until seeing whether such improvements materialize.

Yes, I am very aware of the transition. However it’s not Goldman Sachs or JPMorgan Chase that will make that decision. I also had the GM Mastercard issued by Goldman Sachs and it connected to Quicken without issues. So it had to be Apple’s agreement wth Goldman Sachs that blocked connection. So we can only hope that Apple may change its mind about Quicken. That or cancel the Apple Card.
