For Download purposes, my bank treats every single GIC as a separate download-account.
On Quicken, I would like to treat each of these as a "security", and put multiple such "securities" into a single account.
I could, of course, treat each GIC as a security, and enter transactions MANUALLY…but since it is already possible to DOWNLOAD the transactions, just seems like unnecessary effort.
Even worse, I want my Quicken account to tracking tax-free bank "accounts" … which may include other items besides GICs… cash, mutual funds etc…each of which is downloaded by the bank as a separate "account".
Right now, I just create Quicken accounts 1 for 1 to match the bank's account, but it would be nice to have a single tax-free account to track all those.
Has anybody dealt with this is some way???
