Why are Charges going in as deposits and payments going in as charges with USAA credit card?

I been using Quicken Classic for many years and have never seen this. For the past couple weeks my 2 USAA credit cards have been really screwed up. I use direct link to update and the credit card charges are being entered as deposits (payments) and the payments are entered as charges (adding to the total vice reducing the total). There must be many USAA Quicken users so I am surprised to not see this already posted.

Thank you for the response. I don't know how this happened. I connect and reconcile daily. I simply deleted both credit card accounts and reconnected them to USAA.

In those card accounts, what color is the figure in the BALANCE column?  I suspect it's BLACK, where it should be RED.

A black number in a card (or other liability) account means that the bank, according to this record) owes YOU money.

Since that's unlikely, it probably means that you duplicated a payment (either in reality, or simply recorded a dupe), or deleted card charges,

SO, when was the last time that you reconciled these accounts?  Probably a while back.

Unless you're willing to scrap this account, in Q, and start over … you need to go back thru you statements to find the last time that  the statements & Q agreed, and start reconciling — month by month — from there.
