Make "Date Range" Register setting apply universally (all reqisters)

Since I most commonly work in the most recent segment of my account registers, I typically change the Date Range filter for each register from "All Dates" to "Last 60 Days" or "This Year". It would be both useful and efficient if this Date Rage filter could be applied universally to all or multiple account registers (or, splitting the baby, to accounts selected in a checklist to which the setting would be applied).

I do sometimes wish I could lock or apply the date range as I'm jumping between multiple accounts. I include in this the "As Of" date on investment accounts. When I get my monthly statements, I'm moving from account to account, and it's annoying to have to set the As Of date the the last of the prior month each time I change registers, even if I go back to one I was using a moment ago. I'm not sure what the UI for something like this would be, but it would be helpful.
