From day to day, on the same computer, Quicken opens without having to log in each time. The same should be the case for updates and other places where a password vault password is currently required. If NOTHING changes from one day to another, it should not be necessary to insert a vault password. For an update for example. Quicken might open anywhere and there should be an UPDATE button. That's it. Simple as that. We need to measure efficiency in terms of keystrokes. Thank you!

Wish I could vote against this. Having a password carry over, from session to session LET ALONE day to day, totally defeats the purpose of the password.

And, is your password SO LONG that the few keystrokes are significant???

I appreciate why you are asking this. Every one of us are different. Me: Naturally I have the Windows password with BitLocker enabled. Then I chose to set a password for Quicken every time I launch it because I access it on multiple computers and platforms and the backups reside on multiple places. And finally the vault password. I like to have them all, three different complex passwords. Just sharing my personal preference, overkill, right or wrong.
