Can't download my transactions from AMEX. Error CC-601. I deactivated and reactivated my online services on all my AMEX accounts, it still doesn't work.
Hi @bdkane10,
Thank you for reaching out to the Quicken Community and for letting us know that you are experiencing this issue.
The CC-601 error has been escalated, and our team is actively working toward a resolution. At this time, we do not have an estimated time of resolution (ETA).
In the meantime, I recommend monitoring the Community Alert, as it will be updated as soon as new information becomes available. Community Alert:
I hope this information helps!
It doesnt help and this issue has been going on for 2 weeks now. With what we pay for Quicken for software as a service, Quicken needs to do a lot better fixing these bugs that pop up regularly.
If you're a Q Windows user: First deactivate ALL AmEx accounts then, when all accounts have been deactivated, use Tools / Add Account to reactivate / reauthorize your accounts to Bank name American Express - Delegate.
This got me out of the CC-601 doghouse …
If you're a Q Mac user, try the same, if "American Express - Delegate" is available for you.
I'm having the same problem. I've reauthorized American Express multiple times, but I've never seen a bank name saying American Express-Delegate. What's that?
Hi @EvetsEyak, Thanks for joining this thread.
The Community Alert is still open, and our Support Team is actively working toward a resolution.
In the meantime, there is a workaround. As @UKR mentioned, you can deactivate and then reactivate all of your American Express accounts. Before following the troubleshooting steps below, I recommend creating a backup of your Quicken data file.
To deactivate an account:
To reactivate your account(s):
I hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.
I am using the Delegate workaround, and it does work. But it seems that it will require 2FA each time I update from Amex. I see that the original issue is now several months old, with no updates in over 3 months. Is anyone actually working on this? Cheers.
Hi @brpqkn, Thank you for reaching out to the Quicken Community! I'm glad to hear that American Express-Delegate is working for you.
We understand how frustrating this issue has been. The American Express FDP-101/CC-601 error is a known issue and is being actively investigated under Ticket #11617102.
This issue has been ongoing and involves multiple parties, including Quicken, the aggregation service provider, and the financial institution, which adds complexity and can impact the resolution time.
Please be assured that our teams are actively working toward a resolution. At this time, there are no new updates available to share. I recommend monitoring the Community Alert, as it will be updated as soon as new information becomes available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work toward a resolution.
Are you still having this issue? Date of your post is 6/18/26. I continue to have issues with this and haven't seen any resolution. Just curious if you happen to have found a fix?
Hello @Cadman,
Thanks for chiming in!
The American Express FDP-101/CC-601 issue is still ongoing, and the Community Alert remains open while our teams continue working toward a resolution.
If you have not already done so, you may want to try the workaround steps outlined earlier in this thread by @Quicken Carlos—deactivating all American Express accounts, then reactivating them through American Express - Delegate. This workaround has helped many users restore connectivity while the issue is being investigated.
Please continue to monitor the Community Alert for any updates as they become available.
Thank you!
There is a note on the Community Alert indicating that this is resolved. This does not seem to be the case. I disconnected all Amex accounts from American Express -Delegate and reconnected to American Express. When I sync, the error message is gone, but it does not seem to actually sync. I have no recent Amex transactions since I don't use Amex often, so can't be sure, but the behavior is different from all other accounts.
In other cases, I see "n Accounts Updated" and "0 new transactions" (or similar wording). Amex does not show a listing at all for any accounts. And when I look at the Amex accounts in the Account list, they all indicate that the last download date is "Not Available."
Maybe each will update when they get a transaction but, for now, what I can see is that Amex is behaving differently from all other accounts and may not be updating properly.
Cheers.
