There appear to be major probjlems with PNC direct connect. my checking always gives error when i do one step update.
I am eventually able to download most recent transactions, but I cannot send new payment instructions. they just get stuck in the register with the word "Send" instead of getting a numeric ID.
PNC support has expedited this and in last 3 weeks they have contacted me 6 times to tell me they are still working on it.
I can definitibely say that new users are not being enrolled in Direct Connect because as of 6/25/2026 the server that registers new Direct Connect users is down. It says <Service is unavalilable.>
Please note that error message is straight from PNC via browser, not from quicken app.
Other associated quick errors are cc-501, ol-293a OL-49-B and maybe a few others.
The check if server is working:
logon to PNC > Help > manage accounts > Quicken Enrollment >Next >
> select account (but this might not appear) >
> select "Yes, I'd like to a bills through Quicken" > next > enter a new random password > next >
> acknowlege reading terms of agreement > review > submit>
