Quicken for Mac, Specific Lot identification of mutual fund shares

I have owned mutual fund TRBCX since 2000. On 02/23/2022 the shares were converted to I Class shares (TBCIX). When I go to sell specific lots purchased prior to 02/23/2002 they do not show up in Quicken for Mac, only the shares purchased since 02/23/2002. Does anyone know a work around for this issue?

Assuming this share conversion involved a change in price per share, then you should not do sell and buy transactions because, as you've seen, the buy transactions will be dated now rather than the original date of aquisition. Additionally, if you do Sell transactions, Quicken will calculate a capital gain/loss based on the sale of the shares, but there should be no tax consequence for a mutual fund class conversion. Instead, you should do a Remove Shares transaction and an Add Shares transaction for each lot. The key is that the Add Share transaction has a field for Date Acquired — the original purchase date of this lot. By doing it this way, your history will be accurate.

(If you have a manageable number of lots you can do in this way, do that. If you have a huge number of lots, there is a trick to use a related Quicken feature for transferring shares to accomplish this in just a few steps. Post back if you have a lot of lots and want to know how to do this.)
