Unable to link account with a cc-501 error.
Unable to connect to elan financial services (fidelity branded) for credit card. Rejects my id and password with response of incorrect details. Looking at the web address it should go to https://www.myaccountaccess.com but is going to elanfinancialservices.com?
The web address we see in Quicken for any financial institution (FI) generally is not the the web address that Quicken (actually, Intuit who is the aggregator) uses to connect with the FI. That is more often than not a reference web address to the business' home website.
The FIDIR.txt (Financial Institutions Directory) file shows the following listing for Elan. Note that the web address that is in bold is the one that Intuit uses and that one is correct.:
10308 10308 10308 Elan Financial Services https://www.elanfinancialservices.com/index.html 1-800-558-3424 https://www.myaccountaccess.com/onlineCard/login.do ACTIVE CREDIT&WEB-CONNECT BANKING,CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA
I and some others have had issues connecting with Elan for a long time (nearly 1 year for me) and I always get either a CC-501 or CC-503 error code whenever I try to set up with Elan.
Fortunately, we can download our Fidelity Rewards Visa transactions data from Fidelity Investments and that has been working very well for me. Have you tried downloading from Fidelity Investments instead of from Elan?
I did setup fidelity but noticed it seems to be a day behind with transactions OR the transaction download isnt working which I suspect is the case.
Yes, the transactions do tend to download from Fidelity 1 day later than they do from Elan. That's because Fidelity is another cog in the wheel.
I would prefer downloading directly from Elan like I used to for several years. But since every "fix" that Quicken/Intuit puts into place for connection issues with Elan they never work for me.
So, I gave up and set up with Fidelity which, other than the 1 day delay in downloading transactions, has been working pretty well. IMO, downloading via EWC+ from Fidelity is better then not being able to download from Elan via EWC.
If you really want to download only from Elan then you might want to try contacting Quicken Support via Phone or Chat per this link: https://www.quicken.com/support/search-opt/. When getting CC-50X error codes sometimes the Support team can do something on the backend to resolve it that we cannot do.
One other annoying thing with using fidelity option is that the balances showing on the fidelity website do not match the balances in quicken at least on a daily basis. Very frustrating. Thanks for all your responces….
