A month or so ago, I wasn't getting transactions downloaded from one investment account (Vanguard). So I redid the account download page, changed to Direct and when I next connected, transactions worked fine.
Now I am seeing two copies of the same investment in several of my Vanguard accounts. I noticed this when my investment total dollars increased for no reason.
In each example, the name of the investment is slightly different but the number of shares is the same. I've attached a screenshot (without numbers) to show what I mean about duplicates.
I restored from a couple weeks ago but as soon as I connected and downloaded transactions, the duplicates showed up again.
The one other thing that differentiates the duplicates is that the one I think is "bad" shows no cost basis.
What do I do?
One more observation: in Quicken, I just noticed that the account balances in question had a sudden bump up between April 24 and April 26 of this year. May I should have restored a backup from April 24. I'll wait to hear from you.
