Spending by Category report misses items in split transactions that are not first

Create a Spending By Category Report that includes one or more transactions with split categories.

Edit one of those transactions and move the selected category to a position other than first in the list - that transaction disappears from the list and other transactions that meet the criteria but have the category in a position other than first are not displayed

Thank you for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing. I want to make sure we are on the same page.

Are these the steps you're using to reproduce it?

Create (or locate) a transaction that uses split categories.
Run a Spending by Category report that includes one of the split categories.
Edit the split transaction and move the category you're reporting on so it is not the first split line.
Refresh or rerun the report.

At that point, the transaction no longer appears in the report, even though it still contains the selected category. Additionally, other transactions where that same category is not the first split line are also omitted from the report.

If that's correct, could you also let me know whether this happens with any split category, or only with a specific category or report customization?

It seems to only occur when starting from Show Graph and drilling down.

From Report and Graphs, select Spending by Category. If you select Show Report and then drill down into one of the categories, it seems to be correct. If you select Show Graph and then drill down you get different results: the total for the detail report is different than what the graph shows.
