How to get Account to Use column in the Bills, Income and Transfers?
I'd like to know what is account to use in this Reminder view for each Reminder, and also Sort this table by Biller or Account.
Thanks
This is displayed by using the Manage Manual Bills and Income, click on it and then you can sort any of the columns displayed by clicking on the header.
sorry, that doesn't allow me to add required column "Account to Use".
Also, that popup window doesn't show Income reminders that I need, as those are not monthly.
I want to Sort by Account in the the "Bills, Income and Transfers" view.
@mikek753b you can add the Bill and Income Reminders snapshot to a custom Home tab view. That snapshot has an option to Show Accounts in Bills List.
@mshiggins this helps, while it isn't the same as in the "Bills, Income and Transfers" view. I need to see the LAST PAYMENT column as well. No, the Sort doesn't work for the "Account to Use" column. Thanks
Click on "Manage Manual Bills and Income".
The Account doesn't appear in the "All Bills and Deposits" tab, but it does on the Monthly tab.
The easiest way to get to there is by clicking the BILLS menu item (not the "Bills and Income" tab) and clicking "Manage Bill and Income Reminders"
I'd like to see all Reminders for a account for 12 months This is related to my needs to track and forecast Fixed Income (Div, Bonds, CD, Interests, etc)
Also, to use Schwab Investment Account as Billing Account as well, so I need to forecast Cash in this account. I moved from plain Checking account to Investment with Cash / Checking (ACH, Billing) for many reasons, so I've looked for how Quicken can accommodate this.
@mikek753b how to do cash flow forecasting for investment account income is an interesting question since none of the current cash flow forecasting tools consider investment accounts. Even with the show cash in checking option enabled, the income from the investment side is not accessible.
The only way I can think of to accomplish this with current functionality is to set up another whole set of income reminders in the linked cash account. A lot of work initially to set up and some ongoing work to keep reminders up to date, but it would enable you to use the cash flow forecasting and budgeting tools to see your future investment income.
I'm not yet at the point where I would need that fine a level of tracking for my investment income, but now that I am retired, I can foresee that would be quite useful at some point in the future.
@mshiggins I don't quite understand what you're saying about Investment accounts not being included.
I just ran Q's standard "Cash Flow" report, and included the 3 taxable investment account … and each was included.
@NotACPA thank you the help The scope is for the Projected Income, future, forecast that needs for proper planning.
The Fixed Income is important part for pre and retirement time, and Investment Account type is the account for Fixed Income stock, bond, MM, Cert and etc instruments I started integration with my Fixed Income stream and got into so many limitations, so I asked related questions.
@NotACPA none of the cash flow forecast options allow inclusion of investment accounts. I tried:
Menu path Tools:
Bills tab:
Custom Home tab view snapshots: Calendar
Projected Balances
None of these allowed showing reminders for investment income.
@mshiggins I can use Checking / Cash linked Investment account for Bonds Interest payments, that I see in the Projected but, I can't use Stock Div, those are only in the Investment type, so nothing in the Projected

I just looked into this a bit further … and can confirm what you're saying. I just hadn't paid attention to this previously.
BUT, I can add to the list that the monthly income from an retirement annuity bought by a former employer (which is in Q as an Income category) and a scheduled transaction is also not included for future events … only included for past and recorded events.
@mikek753b @mshiggins I just UNrejected everyone's prior replies. Have no idea what troll rejected them.
@NotACPA what is the answer in this case to the "How to get Account to Use column in the Bills, Income and Transfers?" that works?
So far nothing had worked for me.
I'd like to see all Reminders for a account for 12 months
I need to see the LAST PAYMENT column as well.
Otherwise I assume that the answer is NO.
What I'm missing?
BILLS, "Manage Bill and Income Reminders", click "MONTHLY Bills & Deposits"
It's not available on the "All Bills & Deposits" tab, but for any particular bill, does the account you use vary by month? Mine doesn't, but then I use "Direct Debit" or my financial institution's BillPay exhaustively.
Thank you for trying to help me.
Sorry, this doesn't address my needs.
I'd like to see all Reminders for a account for 12 months, in the proposed just month by month.
I'd like to see The Last Payment column, that helps me to see if the Reminder correct or way of and need to be updated.
Many people have asked for this and even more for the past 10 years already https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7887051/add-account-and-category-columns-to-the-bill-and-income-reminders-page-10-merged-votes So, I'm looking forward for this to be finally implemented in the requested way.
In the link that you referenced, the Idea is listed as Planned … they just never announce the WHEN until just before it's released.
Does that other thread include all that you're requesting?
If not, create another Idea post with the additions.
But, as I noted, since all of my payments are recurring, I see little benefit to having the Account in the "All Bills …" tab also.
