Please add functionality to automatically remove related Income Reminders in Bills, Income & Transfers when an investment position is no longer held.
Use Cases
- Stocks & ETFs: Dividend reminders should be automatically deleted when the corresponding stock or ETF is sold and the position is removed from Holdings.
- Bonds & Treasuries: Interest payment reminders should be automatically deleted when a bond or Treasury is sold, called, or matures, causing the position to be removed from Holdings.
- Mutual Funds: Distribution reminders should also be removed when the fund position is closed.
The application already knows when a position no longer exists in Holdings, so it should automatically remove any future income reminders associated with that security.
Why This Matters
Without this functionality, users must manually review and delete income reminders every time an investment position is sold, called, or matures. This process is time-consuming and easy to overlook, especially for portfolios containing many dividend-paying stocks and fixed-income securities.
Stale income reminders result in incorrect future cash-flow projections and projected account balances, reducing the accuracy of retirement and financial planning.
Automatically removing reminders for closed positions would make investment income forecasting more accurate and eliminate unnecessary manual maintenance.
