Bank of America & Merrill Lynch accounts

Question

For the millionth time, all of my accounts require re-authorization to download data and I am being put through the Byzantine routines to reauthorize the downloads.

However, I am only given a few of the bank accounts and NONE of the investment accounts as options for re-authorization.

What is the key to getting this set back up (after 30 years of doing this regularly without so many issues) and keeping the links so I don't need to re-authorize this so frequently?

@David24, I am missing somethings here.

First, reauthorization became a thing when BoA and ML switched to EWC+. All users were forced to switch to EWC+ around Sept/Oct 2025. Did you somehow get through that without having to reauthorize a few times and become familiar with the process and have it work successfully for both BoA and ML accounts?

Second, I have had an ML investment account since before ML was bought by BoA. I got a BoA banking account much more recently. When I connect my accounts, I specify different a financial institution to connect ML accounts from the financial institution to connect my BoA accounts. It sounds like you are specifying one financial institution and expecting it to find both sets of accounts. Is that true? If so, what is that financial institution? Please specify the exact wording of the choice you make when activating online services. The idea is to look it up in Quicken’s fidir.txt file and see what’s there.

After going through the authentication steps on the bank's website, and selecting the Merrill Lynch accounts I have downloaded for many years, I get this message:

Your accounts have been authorized successfully! You will now be redirected back to Quicken. If you are not redirected in a few seconds, you can close this window and return to QuickenHowever, in Quicken, it only shows the bank accounts and not one of the Merrill Lynch accounts.

Obviously, restarted Quicken several times.

Any other suggestions?

Nothing changed other than a new version of Quicken. I got the 5 bank accounts to authorize, but none of the Merrill Lynch investment accounts will activate in Quicken, even though they are selected on the BAC website.
