How can I add a new Discover account to Quicken?

Recently we had to close our Discover account and open a new one.  I have spent hours trying to connect the new account to Quicken but I cannot.  It always adds a Discover More Card account with the same name but it pulls transactions from several years ago and refuses to enter the new account even after I have connected with Discover.  Help please!

I've managed multiple VISA and Mastercard accounts in my Quicken file for 15+ years.  The Mastercard account has changed account/card number once, and I currently managed two separate VISA accounts.  I can't speak exactly for Discover vs Discover More Card, but there's something in the adding of a new Quicken account that prompts to create a new account or link to existing.  I'm sure that I've used that to keep the new account separate, including the Mastercard account that my login to the bank (provider) was the same for both "old" and "new" card.  Now I keep a closed account whose Quicken name ends x3008, and the active one ending x8395.

I don't have a solution, but you might want to hold off just a little bit since Discover Card will be transitioning to CapOne control in the next few weeks, I know mine will transition on 7/27 and there is no indication what changes might occur.

You might end up going thru the same thing then, so why put yourself through it twice.
