Trouble with real time quotes

Question

I can't seem to stop Quicken from turning on "Real Time Quotes".  Nor can I find a way to get quicken to ever match my online brokerage accounts without manually entering the quotes.  This is  particularly for bond prices in the morning.  So every morning I have to manually enter the bond prices.  Between the two, updates have become quite tedious. I don't understand why real time quotes keeps getting switched on.  I change it in preferences and then do an update transactions on the brokerage account and it is switched back on, but the update seems to occur first the quotes aren't actually real time.  But if I do another update without turning RTQ off, it use them and there is no way back to closing prices.  Is there a way to fix this?

The problem you describe with the Real time Quotes option being repeatedly set is not widespread.

If you clear the RTQ checkbox and click OK then return to Edit > Preferences > Investments, does the RTQ box stay checked, or does it only get checked if you exit and restart Quicken?

Does this happen every time you run Quicken, or for example only when there is a software update?

Do you have any unusual related settings, such as "Automatically update quotes every 15 minutes" or "Download transactions when Quicken starts" or Scheduled updates, which automatically runs Quicken and updates quotes at a set time?

I turn off Real Time Quotes repeatedly and it turns back on.  How do I get it to stay where I set it?

The issue with bond, gold price updates is probably separate.  I guess they get updated eventually, but not in a useful time frame for me. I want them updated when the brokerage updates them or soon thereafter.
