Fidelity Money Market FZDXX processing in Quicken for Mac missing transaction history.

FZDXX positions got deleted and not converted to cash as a result of a change made to Quicken a few months ago. Per a posted recommendation, I manually added the positions back to my accounts and adjusted the cash balance to match the Fidelity Website. As a result, I have lost all my transaction history relating to these positions affecting my NetWorth history. I understand that you are working on a fix to allow the user to select if a money market fund should be treated as cash or a security. When that fix is implemented, will Quicken recover my transaction history or is that information permanently deleted? Is there a way to recover it from my Quicken backups?

Quicken Mac Fidelity is deleting my FZDXX positions and partially adding the balance to cash. The issue is I have 15 years of FZDXX activity in several accounts. That would be a lot of manual entry.

FZDXX definitely cannot be a core/cash fund.

I can restore from backups but I have to go back 3 months to a point before Quicken corrupted FZDXX positions. If I run an update, it deletes the positions and history again. If I wait until August for the fix (supposedly August), I will be beyond the 3 month range of historical transaction downloads and would have to manually enter the balance of the transactions. Unless there is a way to extract all FZDXX transactions from a QDATA file and add them to my active file, I suspect I am screwed.

@NotACPA Right now on Quicken Mac Fidelity is treating all MMFs as cash whether they're core or not. If you want to track any of them as assets you have to manually enter the buy/sell transactions yourself.

@jblevy01 Just to expand on what @NotACPA said, restoring from backup means rolling your entire Quicken account back to some point in the past. I don't think there's any good way to extract the transactions involving FZDXX from a backup and add them to your current data file.
