Conversion from Windows to Mac

Question

Trying to convert a windows qdf file to a mac .quicken file.  The pdf file is 2.7 gig in size.  I get the Exporting  data from Quicken Windows: connecting to cloud screen for about 2 minutes, then get "updating database" screen for a few seconds then get "Could not import “MAIN.QDF”  with "Quicken was not able to read the contents of your QDF file."  Is the file size the issue.  Did run validate on the windows version before doing this.  Is the size the issue?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Jon, Thanks for your confirmation of my theory.   I will have to shrink the file by deleting the oldest transactions, only retaining the last few years.

It's possible the file size itself is the problem, or it may be what I'm assuming are a large number of attachments in the file (which, btw, won't make it through the conversion). You might try deleting the attachments and trying again.
