Redundant incorrect second transaction (not really a duplicate transaction)

I had two Citi credit cards but have closed one so there's only one open now.

I have closed the account in Quicken and turned off online access. I would prefer not to delete the account from Quicken because I would like to be able to see the transaction history.

However when I download transactions, the payment transactions are duplicated - two debits from my checking account and one credit into each of the two credit card accounts.

Just to be clear: these are not the same transaction showing up twice. There are two transactions being created.

I'd appreciate any insight into how to make this stop happening.

• When did you first notice this issue?
• Do you have reminders created for the transactions that are duplicating?
• Is the duplicate transaction missing its category?
