I don't want to categorize or anything. I just want to see how much I have been putting on a credit card monthly over the last year or whatever. Is there simple way to do that? The report options are a maze.
Edit: …how much I have been putting on a credit card monthly…
You could use the report at Reports > Spending > Spending by Category. Set the date range. Click on the gear at the top right to customize the report to include just the account(s) you want. Select Collapse all if you don't want to see subcategories. If you don't care about the Categories, just look at the totals at the bottom. Select an interval from the dropdown next to Columns if you want to see it by month or whatever.
If you want some different organization, please provide details.
Thank you for helping me decipher this. Is there a way to get one display of the entire date range? I want a result showing all the months at once as opposed to selecting each month individually.
Oh, wait, I used the "date range" wrong. If I select "Last Year" for the range, and then select "Month" for the column, I get a large table with a column for each month. Thank you for helping me.
"Last year" will get you Jan - Dec of 2025. "Last 12 months" will get you July 13, 2025 through today. Or you can set a custom date range.
