I have multiple accounts with Schwab but SOME of them do not show the same balance as the account screen (which has been reconciled) and the Total value of all the accounts is wrong in the sidebar. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for sharing what you’re seeing.
It sounds like Quicken may be displaying a projected balance or online balance instead of today’s balance. You can change the balance displayed by clicking the three dots at the top of the sidebar and selecting the balance type you would like to view, such as Today's Balance.

sorry, on a macOS 26.5.2. Version 9.1.0 (Build 901.61320.100). Been using Quicken and it predecessor for over 26 years. I would also love to find a way to divide the file so I can just work with 2020's at this point.
No difference in Total when I switched to show today's balance
What type of accounts are the ones which show different balances? Checking? Savings? Brokerage? For banking accounts like checking, make sure the small text above the register total in the upper right is showing "Today's Balance". If it is set to Projected Balance or Online Balance, that could be the source of your discrepancy; you want to make sure the register setting matches the sidebar setting.
They are brokerage accounts. I have tried changing the type of account, ie. stock, etc but no difference.

It is only in one stock account. The balance shown in the registry are correct. The "Market Value as of Today" is almost but not quite double it and that amount (the doubled one) is what shows in the side bar so that the TOTAL of all holdings, credit cards, checking shown at the Botton of the sidebar are significantly off.
Thank you for the additional information. Based on what you described, it sounds like the sidebar is likely using the Market Value as of Today calculation for that brokerage account, and that value is what is causing your overall totals to be incorrect.
Since the account register balance is correct but the Market Value is nearly double, this points more toward an issue with the holdings valuation in that one account rather than the sidebar setting itself.
Could you check a few things in that affected brokerage account?
Also, if you could provide an example (for instance, "Quicken shows 200 shares but Schwab shows 100 shares" or "Market Value is $X but the account value should be $Y"), that would help narrow down where the extra value is coming from.

@grandma When you say are you describing the Transactions register for this account? The "Market Value as of Today" is showing the total market value of cash plus any securities you have in this account. The Balance column on this screen is only showing the running balance of Cash in this account. So I wouldn't expect those two numbers to be the same.
The "Market Value as of Today" on the Transactions page should be the same as "Market Value as of Today" when you click the Portfolio tab to see the list of your holdings. Is it? Now, set your filters on the Portfolio screen to show Portfolio Value By Security, like this:
Look at the Market Value column and look at the bottom for the Total line. The Total of the Markey Value column should match the "Market Value as of Today" at the top. Does it?
If so, the next step is to dig into which security or securities is showing an incorrect market value. Log into your Schwab account and view your holdings in this account. I don't know how many securities you have, but compare them, security by security, to what's on the Quicken Portfolio page. One or more of the securities in Quicken should be showing a Market Value different than what Schwab shows. For that security(ies), does Quicken show the same number of shares as Schwab shows? If you have Cash in this account, does the Cash at the bottom of the Quicken screen match what Schwab shows as the total of cash? My first thing to lsuspect if you have a money market fund in this account, like SWVXX; depending what data Schwab is sending and how Quicken is applying it, there are times where an increase of cash in a money market fund may be double-counted as an increased in SWVXX and an increase in cash. If that's the culprit, it should be pretty easy to fix in the register… but I don't want to get too far ahead until you report what you're seeing.
