check register / transaction report WITH BALANCE COLUMN

I want to print out a transaction report with a balance column. Just like the screen where I enter checks written, deposits made, etc. Just like the old days of writing checks and doing a reconciliation every month. I can then give this report to people that I do not want to have access to data, or write ability, or save rights in Quicken.

Seems very basic as screen exists but can not get as a report. Tx

Running Balance in a printed report is not available because most transaction-based reports pull information from multiple accounts.

An easy way of getting a register report for an individual account register is by opening an account register view and then pressing CTRL-P
In the popup menu review the report title, select the desired Date Range (e.g., 1/1 to today). Do not forget to also checkmark the "Print split transactions" box if you wish to show category split detail for each transaction.

Repeat for all other account registers you need to print.
