Errors in Financial Downloaded Data

I am receiving duplicate or erroneous financial investment information downloaded from a Schwab brokerage account.

Agents do not know how this works or are protecting Intuit who actually gathers data from Schwab and sends it to Quicken. I've spoken with a handful of agents who tell me they cannot speak with either Intuit or Schwab to troubleshoot the problem.

Quicken will provide no guarantee of privacy or security in trouble shooting the problems. Basically they seem not to care that customers are getting erroneous data.

I contacted to Schwab. They said that getting erroneous downloaded data is a common problem with Quicken and getting no help from Quicken to fix it is resisted unless you share private information.

What "private information" is it you're speaking of? If you're unwilling to share your log files or allow a Quicken Support representative to do a screen share with you in order to see what you're seeing, it can be pretty hard to fully understand what's happening in your Quicken, let alone document it for Intuit or Schwab to address. I don't believe they are out to "protect" Intuit; they escalate connectivity/download issues to Intuit frequently — but they need to be able to document the problem. The Schwab representative you spoke with likely is not involved in their connectivity group, so of course they're likely to blame the outside party. I certainly can't take even a guess whether it's a Schwab problem or a Quicken/Intuit problem because all I know is the vague description you gave. I can only note that this site isn't blowing up with other people reporting the same connectivity issues with Schwab that you're describing.
