Adding a new transaction and choosing a Memorized Payee

Recently I am now having to enter all of the details for a new transaction even though I have chosen a memorized payee from the list. I used to be able to pick a payee and the category and payment/deposit would prefill. This has changed in the past couple of months and is quite annoying. Why even have a memorized payee list if it doesn't help to prefill some of the information?

HMMM, it's working for me. I just typed the 1st 2 letters of the Payee in a memorized payee … and the entire transaction filled in.

I also clicked in the Payee field and the list popped up. When I selected from the list, the entire transaction filled in.

SO, a bit more info is needed to try to diagnose what's happening.

When you do HELP, About Quicken … what shows as the specific Q product, the Version, and the "Subscription Valid until …" date?

Have you tried taking a backup and then doing FILE, Validate and Repair file, checking "Validate File" and clicking OK?

@beejay6847 have you checked the relevant preferences? Sometimes during patch version updates, preferences get enabled/disabled. The two preferences outlined in red in the pic below should be enabled.

I did have "Complete fields …" checked but not "Recall memorized payees …". Checked that and that has resolved the issue. Much appreciated. I had looked at those settings and thought "Complete fields …" would be sufficient.
