Dashboard views are too limited

When you start up Quicken, the display defaults to the Home tab with Dashboard selected. The default shows 7 panels such as Top Spending Categories, Top Payees, etc. The panels can be changed and edited but the options are too limited.

Panel Selection - Only predefined panels can be used
Panel Customization - Modifying the contents to display is very limited
Panel Title - You cannot change the panel's title to describe the modifications
Panel Arrangement - Panels are arranged in a table. A panel uses one row with one or more adjacent columns. You can move the panel's position but not change its size.

The first three restrictions could be solved by allowing custom reports to be used as panels. The 4th could be addressed by letting the user specify the number of rows and columns for the panel.

I'd suggest that you re-post this as multiple separate Idea posts. Separate so that they can be considered individually and not get the entire group rejected because someone doesn't like one of the ideas.

BUT, you also need to be VERY specific as to the changes you're suggesting.

You have the option to define what screen Quicken starts with (Edit / Preferences / Startup).

You can define the 'Home' tab screen you want to see. By my count, such a customization offers over 50 components. Yes the dashboard selections of 9 'panels' is limited.

And let's not forget that the Home tab also offers a whole bunch of Classic Views. They can be customized to better suit your needs.

Take a look at existing Classic view pages or, if none exist, easily create your own page(s), with as many views per page as needed:

Stay on top of Monthly Bills
Bills and Income Reminders
Monthly Income vs Expenses graph for the year
etc.

I tried some of the other reports in Edit > Preferences > Startup. Many appear to be similar to those in Reports and Graphs but with far less customization options.

I added the 3 accounts you listed to a new tab to see if I could use them.

Stay on top of Monthly Bills - It shows all bill coming due. Some are paid from my checking and some from credit card accounts. "The total in your spending accounts" is neither my checking or available credit balance. In my case, the Bills and Income Reminder is more meaningful.
Bills and Income Reminders - I regularly use the list I've configured in Tools > Manage Bill & Income Reminders. This one hasn't the options to configure it to match. Why doesn't it show overdue bills?
Income vs Expenses - I wrote this topic because of this one. I want two panel of it. One with all accounts and one omitting the investment accounts. When I create both, it arranges them side-by-side. They are too small. If I insert another panel between them, they are again full width. I cannot add "all" and "no investments" to the titles to tell them apart.

I'd like Quicken to allow any of the views in Quicken to be shown in the dashboard. If you click the Home, Spending, Bills & Income, etc. tabs, and then their submenu, there are lots of useful views. Many are already customized by the user. Updating a view would automatically update the dashboard.

I, for one, would prefer that they repair their current feature set for the dashboard so that they work as originally intended prior to trying to add new features. It seems to never go well.

Updating Quicken doesn't update everything. To fix issues with Fidelity securities, I used QFX to export all my accounts to a new data file. I had to recreate the reports. Some standard reports have the same name but have different options. Some views throughout Quicken differ too.
