I want to know if this is a known bug or if I am doing something wrong. I set up all of my bills manually in quicken classic so I can utilize the projected balance feature. This is literally one of the only features left in quicken that keeps me in the software. Well for some reason, bills that I set up (most monthly like water, gas, electric) sometimes get "moved" by quicken to several months in the future. This happens a lot. I usually just go to the bill and edit this and all future instances and put the date back to where it should be but it is driving me nuts. Today, I opened quicken because I got a text from my electric company with the amount of my bill, and tried to put the exact amount in so when I downloaded my transactions it would match. The bill due the 24th of July wasn't there. Scroll down the list and find that quicken has mysteriously moved the next date to the 24th of October. Like what? I didn't skip it or move it or anything. Like I said, this happens all the time where I open the app to input the exact amount (I just use average amount so my projected balance is as accurate as possible) and for some unknown reason the bill isn't where it should be and is sometime in the future. Please, can anyone shed some light on why this might be happening?
*Edit to add, this happens to my pay as well. Sometimes I notice my projected balance is off and my upcoming paycheck which is every two weeks has mysteriously skipped a paycheck and put the next one 4 weeks out.
