I copied and pasted this 2025 post from another user because my issue is identical:
I'm running Quicken Classic B&P Version R68.31 under Windows 11.
As of 11/1/2025, my Wells Fargo credit card account has a credit balance of $456.74, but the Quicken Online Balance is -$456.74 when it should be +$456.74.
Due to this error in the Quicken Online Balance, when I try to reconcile using the Online Balance,
Quicken displays
Cleared Balance: -456.74
Statement Ending Balance: 456.74
Difference: -913.48
Quicken is incorrectly handling credit balances for Wells Fargo credit cards.
On the Wells website if you owe them money it is a positive balance as expected. On the Quicken register it is always shown as a negative balance which is normal to me and has always been that way. But due to a refund from a vendor, I now have a credit balance on my credit card. Thus I am having the same issue as pasted above. Quicken wants to create an offsetting entry for twice the amount to turn the positive balance into a negative balance. Any thoughts on why it is doing this?
