Charles Schwab Accounts Issue

In Quicken we have three Charles Schwab accounts. Two are under one login and one is on a different one. When we try to download, we are getting prompted to reautorize. However, the authotization only promps us for either the group of two accounts or the single account. Upon completion, if we completed the two accounts, the other account is not available to download. If we try again, we are prompted to authorize the single account. Upon completion, the two accounts are not able to be download. So we are caught in this either or between the two schwab logins.

This has been a "not uncommon" problem with Quicken.

Give this a try:

• Make a backup
• Deactivate downloading in all the Accounts
• As you deactivate each Account go into the General tab and delete both the Financial institution and the Account Number
• Shut down Quicken and then restart it
• Click on Tools > Add Accounts and select Charles Schwab as the Financial institution
• Sign into Schwab when prompted and follow through the Add Account process
• Quicken should find all Accounts under the User Name and Password you used and display them for you, asking if you want to add the account(s) or link the account(s) and you select LINK, not ADD
• Then go through the same process using the other User Name and Password

This typically works. It's been suggested that before doing this you should go into the Schwab site and "undo" 3rd party sharing for the accounts, but I don't know if that's really needed. (I think I've gone through this process successfully without doing so.), but undoing 3rd party sharing won't hurt anything.
