Investment Holdings prices not updated when using Personal Hotspot to connect to internet

For the last couple of weeks I was out in the woods using my iPhone's Personal Hotspot to connect my MacBook Pro to the internet. The connection was slow but it worked fine for browsing and iCloud backup.

Quicken ran well except that the prices of Investing Holdings remained unchanged.

Hitting the Investing Dashboard's Refresh button caused it to spin as usual but the prices did not update. There were no error indications.

Now that I'm home and using WiFi on cable internet, the prices have automatically refreshed and everything is back to normal.

I'll be going back to the woods again soon … if anyone has any suggestions, tests or workarounds please let me know.

Thank you for reaching out! Since it works when connected to your WiFi but not to your mobile hotspot, this suggests something specific to your network may be blocking communication. Does your iPhone have a VPN set up? If it does, you may want to try turning it off when using the hotspot to connect and update Quicken. If you have any antivirus or security app on your phone, you may want to check its settings to see if it's causing the issue.

I don't use a VPN or antivirus/security apps. Chrome worked correctly, including accessing banking sites. iCloud sync stayed up-to-date.

Next time I'll try looking at the logs (Help > Show Logs in Finder) before, during, and after using the hotspot, maybe something will pop up.
