Hi,
I saw the existing alert regarding the Voya Institutional Plan Services transition, but comments are closed there, so I’m posting separately. I’m experiencing an issue after attempting to migrate my Voya accounts from the discontinued Voya Institutional Plan Services Direct Connect connection to the new Voya Financial EWC+ connection. I’m using Quicken Classic Deluxe for Mac.
My two Voya accounts had been connected through Direct Connect for many years, despite recurring issues with transaction downloads. I followed the guidance to reconnect through Voya Financial using the new Simple Investing connection.
Authentication and account discovery work correctly. During setup, Quicken displays the correct online account balances. However, once the connection is completed, my 403(b) account displays a balance nearly 10 times the actual value.
The Portfolio view shows two of the three securities valued correctly, while the third security is responsible for the substantially inflated value. My separate Voya 401(a) account reports correctly. The issue appears to be isolated to how Quicken is pulling details for individual securities, rather than the Voya connection as a whole.
I’ve done the following troubleshooting:
- Disconnected the old Direct Connect accounts and reconnected through Voya Financial EWC+.
- Confirmed that Quicken shows the correct overall account balance during the initial account setup process.
- Tried linking the new connection to the existing accounts, but received substantially inflated valuation.
- Restored a backup from immediately before changing the Voya connection and instead allowed Quicken to create a completely new standalone accounts but received the same inflated valuation.
- Changed the sidebar balance display to Online Balance, which did not correct the issue.
I also noticed that after disconnecting the Simple Investing connection, several new downloaded transactions became visible in the register even though they are not categorized properly and had not been visible while the account was using the Simple Investing view. I’m mentioning this in case it is relevant to how the Voya feed is being interpreted.
For now, I have restored my pre-migration backup again and left both Voya accounts disconnected so the incorrect valuation does not affect my Quicken balances and net worth.
Is this security-level valuation issue already part of the investigation into the new Voya Financial EWC+ connection? Thank you for any assistance.
