Scheduled Deposit Setup Question

I have a deposit that is setup bi-weekly. Based on this schedule there are two months with 3 deposits but those deposits will not occur. Beyond setting up more than one schedule is there a way to remove these two future transactions or alter the amounts? I have only ever been able to do this on the next occurrence of a transaction. I can always live with the bogus transactions in my calendar and address when they are closer.

Hi @Dom1,

Unfortunately, Quicken does not currently have a way to edit or delete specific occurrences of a recurring scheduled transaction that are far in the future.

Recurring reminders are based on a single schedule, so any changes made to the reminder apply to future occurrences as a whole rather than allowing exceptions for individual transactions months ahead.

As you've already discovered, you can edit or delete an occurrence once it becomes the next scheduled transaction. However, Quicken does not currently support modifying a specific future occurrence while leaving the rest of the schedule unchanged.

I understand this may not be as convenient as being able to set exceptions in advance. If you'd like to request this functionality as a future enhancement, you can submit an idea post. This way, other users who have the same or a similar request can vote on your idea.

What are the specific deposit dates for these transactions? For example, twice a month on the 1st and 15th?

Based on the definition of "bi-weekly" in Quicken, you would get paid every two weeks including that 3rd payment every 3 months, for a total of 26 payments per year.

If you get paid twice a month, every month, for a total of 24 payments per year, then you would get paid, for example,
7/3, 7/17
8/3, 8/17
9/3, 9/17
etc.

Yep I understand how these work. In the past I've successfully done weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly. This is not a normal schedule so was hoping to remove/alter payments after the schedule was setup but Quicken doesn't provide this option.
